Danie is currently the executive director of Laysan Limited and is experienced with a demonstrated history of working in the investment management industry. He is a strong business development professional skilled in Entrepreneurship, Asset Management, Equities, Venture Capital, Real Estate, IP Commercialisation and Private Equity.
Danie’s key strengths lie in identifying and developing business opportunities, strategy and product development, business development, innovation and business leadership.
The name ‘Laysan’ directly refers to the the Laysan albatross (Phoebastria immutabilis) - a large seabird that ranges across the North Pacific. This represents the resilience, commitment and longevity of the brand.

Marnus is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with 14 years experience.
After completing his articles he joined Ernst and Young LLP and was based in London for 2 years, returning to SA in 2007 and started an audit and consulting firm performing a broad variety of financial services ranging from tax advisory to management consulting for listed companies, local municipalities and departments. Marnus’s extensive experience has allowed him to invest and advise many different industries unlocking potential creating wealth with exceptional returns. These industries included hospitality, health and agriculture.
